A while back I posted the story about the dumbasses who jacked up my autographed/race worn mcgrath jersey.

Long story short I got it back, fixed it, and am looking to get it framed somewhere else.

In that thread someone posted that they knew of a good place in Irvine, Ca? Being as that thread was back at the real MD, I cant see it anymore. Who was it that posted it and can you give me that info again?

There is a place I have had mount a number of hockey jerseys for me in Costa Mesa called Creative Play. It is on 17th street about a block in from Newport Blvd. They do a good job.

thanx a ton fcr. the place u recommended also does all of factory kawi's stuff. they had a ton of mx memorabilia in the store including the companys special 07 championship plates. pretty cool to see bubbas, rv's, & bt's number plates all next to each other.

the guy even diagnosed what the other place had done to jack up my jersey. the owner is cool. much better to go to a local spot than some corporate chain store. which i had known about this place months ago.

I had a game used Theron Fleury Jersey done and it is mounted so you can see his A on the front by mounting it out away from the back of the frame. Hard to explain but it is very well done. It was about 5 bills plus about 10 years ago. They have a website. Google Creative Play Costa Mesa. Oh thanks MDKiller

the guy charged me 4 bills just for the standard basic thing.

i thought about getting the frame u described fcr. he told me standard was 350 and the plexi-mirrored frame was 500. but went i went to pay he said that for a jersey the size of mine, it would be much more. kinda bs actually, i was ready to walk out at that point cause it seemed shady but if kawi trusts him, i figured i could. so i went with the standard framing and matting.

bottom line is its a locally owned company. when i walked in, the guy was in the back working on someone elses jersey. so ur talking to the actual person who will be doing the work, not some sales rep who is just going to send the jersey off somewhere annonymous.

also, he quoted me at getting the job done in just 10 days rather than 3-4 weeks like the other idiots.

A Moto jersey more than 5bills? Hmmm. The jersey he did for me is much larger than than yours and thick. They are not cheap but it comes out better than any place I have seen. Like anything, communicate first and try to get all the info.

I have a coupe of Leafs jerseys not game used. Doug Gilmore, Domi and one with Johnny Bower,Kitchen,Domi, Kyprios(sp) and I am having a brain fart ,The capt. Clark? My son was at camps in Toronto when he was ten with these guys and they were the coaches. Not just an appearance. I have a Duck with Hebert and most of the team a number of years ago. It was given to me from a client. I had a stick that was signed by the whole team during the first playoffs with Detroit, except Kariya. It was given to me by a young defense man named Dan ? . Met him as he was leaving back to Minn., literally at a gas station, and said he liked Wilson the choach blah , blah... Eisner fired Wilson the next day. People I know said he tried to come into the locker room with his Hollywood friends and give a pep talk. WIlson told him to get the hell out. Anyhow I sent the stick back to this guy, I found him on the internet and he remembered meeting me at the gas station where he gave me the stick. I had no real use for it, so I sent it back to him after 9 or 10 years. He was traded to Pitts. and played a few seasons and is now back in Minn.. I remember Wendle Clark Capt. .

Sorry ti hijack the thread, I could not figure out how to put all the pics in one post.

I know I have told the story before but my best friend, who knows I have played hockey my whole life owns a restaraunt here and asked me to come in and help, its on a golf course that was under a foot of snow so I do not know why he needed help but I went in anyway. I am sitting in the kitchen and the place is empty, I am asking WTF do you need help with when a guy walks in and asks " you John? " I said yeah he says " Hello , I am Brett Hulls dad" It took a minute and I said Your Bobby F$#king Hull!!! We partied HARD all night. It turns out that my buddy golfs with Lou Varga who is a hall of fame trainer for the hawks and Bobby stays with him when he is in town.

He sighned the red one to my son, then after 6-7 bottles of red wine he says I got another special one for you, thw white one is sighned by him and his son.
