it looked like a rider was down for an extended period of time , any info on who it was and what happened ?

i was right there but did not see it happen. #340 so it was Ryan Blizzard. he was down for about 15 mintues since he was on a spot on the track they couldn't get the backboard too without stopping the race. the end of turn 2 right before the top of the hill. He seemed to be in a lot of pain. Hope he is alright.

That looked rough. Hope he is ok.

I'm sure the spectator that crawled under the fence to help made the rider feel much better by blowing cigarette smoke in his face as he lie there.

Looked bad... surprised there was nothing more than 1 flagger and a few rednecks to cover his ass though. If it were Canard or Binkie a red flag would have been thrown. Hope the downed rider is healthy

Ryan is ok. Nothing broken. He had a solid ride going for a kid who basically just been giving lessons and not riding much all year. Huge props out to him for qualifying at Unadilla and Southwick. The kid is fast and has talent and could do some damage if he could catch a break and get a decent ride.

Probably going to get owned but they stop a race and restart it for Canard as the area was remote but they couldnt stop it for Blizzard, Obviously different tracks and injuries but still. good for one!!!!

I'm sure it seems that way but I promise you Doc Bodner does not play favorites when it comes to safety , We don't have enough info to make that judgement.

Canards crash was also 2 laps into the race and on the blind side of a landing. Blizzards crash you could see for at least 50 feet before you got to him and half way through the moto. there were about 4 officials with flags by him with in 30 seconds. if you were there you would have seen that there was not much else that could have been done.

Yeh fair point, I didnt think about the positon he was in, just the fact he was down for so long.
