My son has a 2010 KX 250. We have trouble starting the motorcycle after a fall over. Besides the fact that you shouldn't crash or fall over, is there something that can be done to make the bike start easier or is something wrong? It seems like it takes 50 kicks or more to get it started again. By that time, you are in last place.
Thanks

Would you happen to know what the standard number of turns are for the air/fuel mixture screw on a KX 250F 2010?

You can still try adjusting air/fuel mixture, 1.5 to 2.5 turns out. If you are outside of this effective range, you defentily need a pilot jet change. Unfortantely on the 4 strokes this problem is not easy to fix like a 2 stroke. It can be anything from too lean of needle, pilot jet, air/fuel mixture, and acc pump. I can't really help you much. You'll just have to play with it.
Like someone already said, get a service manual. there is a good troubleshooting guide in the back with a section on jetting that is very helpful.
