What's going on is that as technology improves, much less experienced riders are going much faster and jumping farther and the crashes are going to be harder. Godspeed Isabell.

Edit: Just saw that she was on the 125 two stroke. It's just sad to hear this whole thing, I'm sorry. Her poor family, especially her parents.
Bikes are a lot faster and tracks are a lot more dangerous. Also, the Internet now allows us hear about the tragedies almost seconds after they occur. Motocross is a dangerous activity.

unbelievable the amount of tragic crashes in the sport lately. Everybody knows what can happen when you line up, but after witnessing a friend get paralyzed early on this summer and now this, it truly sinks in. R.I.P. Isabell my condolences to the family and friends

Godspeed Isabella.
Seriously? Riding is what she loved. If her parents held her back from doing something she loved, well that would be bad parenting. Motocross is an amazing sport and it's what she loved. It's too bad she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. RIP Isabell Koob, you will be missed by everyone!

Wish I wouldn't of opened this site tonight. Don't know if I'll sleep well. Such a beautiful little girl in that picture. I love this sport but, why? Hope her family and friends keep strong through this. RIP...

R.I.P. Isabell! May God be with her friends and family and let them know that she died doing what she loved and now she's up there riding her heart out racing from one cloud to another looking over all of the other racers.

This is a terrible tragedy and the loss of one of the close members of our motocross family out here in Iowa. We had a Fair Race tonight in Le Mars, Iowa...just a short 20 minutes north of where Izzy and her family live. We got the call shortly after practice began and we observed a moment of silence before the motos began. It was gut wrenching to even try and take to the track after that. To say the mood in the pits was somber is an understatement. Having two young daughters myself, I have broken down a couple of times already and I'm crushed for the Koob family.

Godspeed Izzy Koob. You were an angel and now you are with them.

They race at a track near me all the time.. Very very very nice family.. Her Dad does a lot of work at my Wife's company and he was impressed to see her company's bus at Ponca last year. This one has really hit home hard. I got a track in my backyard for the kids and told them tonight let's skip riding tomorrow. Makes me reevaluate things a little.

Absolutely TERRIBLE!

Ponca has needed to slow down or remap this start for years! There are always ridiculous wrecks every year down this start.

I've been racing with the join family and have known the name for quite sometime! She has always been a great rider but had really shown improvement this year. Very sad thinking about this. Godspeed isabell your already missed by many

Speechless right now. Knowing how tight the moto family is back home, this has to absolutely be gut wrenching. My thoughts are with Izzy's family, I hope they can stay strong and understand she is in a better place.

No offense to the poster but someone please take this post down. I was sad enough without that vivid picture. My heart breaks for her family. I can only be thankful she died doing what she loved. RIP IZZY
