TFS IS A SMART DUDE...we know that, but why keep grinding the axe unless he plans to never work in the sport again in the USA. I told him to kick some ass in Europe and Japan and what have you and he could. He would fit right in over in Europe, Europe would be a way cool gig to play imho.

Instead of tfs complaining he should be fixing/helping to fix the mx scene. When he worked at the airlines i bet he fixed things instead of complaining about em.

As for Marc Peters the track builder that us way cool to be doing what he's doing. I think he made that track at motoworld in costa rica and my bud says it is flat out awesome. he could probably build tracks in his sleep I bet.

If you can’t honestly acknowledge that a problem exists, then there is no way the problem will ever be solved. Racetime is bringing some of these problems to the surface for everyone to see and that should be a good thing.

Seems like pro motocross has always been run by the least capable people possible -

Steve Whitelock
Duke Finch
All at AMA Pro Racing

Where are all the people with media savvy and vision? Surely there must be someone out there who can do a compentent job heading this sport.

We need a Pete Rozelle for Motocross.

TFS can write, that's for sure. The bottom line with him, though, is that his manic depressive rants are fueled by his narcissistic need to be the news instead of report it.

Truthfully, he is just a Michael Moore socialist who hates America and constantly pines for Europe and it is hard to take him seriously. Read between the lines of the article:

"Smoke and Noise didnt make the invite list to hear the backroom deals that have been going on for months, but we know a few things-"

There is a reason TFS didn't get the "invite" and as he drifts further away from the industry insiders he once attached himself to, his rants will become more meaningless and out of touch. Not to say he didn't bring up good points, but TFS is far from being the insider he once was and as he sinks deeper into his narcissistic "I know it all" take on things, he will eventually find his way to the nut house...

And yes I have an axe to grind - I love my country - he doesn't...

Good things will come from change. The only way the sport grows is from the outside. We are most likely witnessing the inevitable, and that's good for everyone in the long run. I'm sure the factory guys woule love to see those $$$$$ being spent by others, and those people profiting from their hard work and investment.

That’s great but this thread is about an article that RT wrote that talks about possible changes in the sport that could, and should take place in the very near future.

Very good point jmar - the reason for my post, at it relates to the topic, is to CONSIDER THE SOURCE...

With that said, here is the direction this very topic took on another board I go to. I think you will find some intelligent discussion, if not interesting ideas on the whole dealeo...

You are correct and that’s what this whole thing is about. The people that have controlled this sport for years are upset because they are watching that control slip right through their fingers.

With that said, I must ignore the truth and attack you for your knowledge and wisdom because my guess is you must be some kind of a commie bastard.

If you pulled your flag-wrapped head out of your ass, you would know it's patriots that call bullshit on problems, and people like you never do shit.

Read S&N again. It's about how to make things better, and you can't understand how if you are not honest about where you are.

Keep your head up your ass and nothing ever changes.

Don't hate me cause I got some balls!

You are right about the airlines, and I pissed people off there too. But once I saved them a few million, I ended up with a free YZ250 and GSXR1100 from for all that shit stirring.

I used to save all the threats I got from back then from people with their heads up their asses, and made a page of them as an attactment to a resume. It was hilarious.

"Stay the fuck out of my shop!" -Supervisor fired for shipping parts without tags to Miami to be sold on black market.

"Mind your own business!" -Contracts director arrested by FBI in his office for taking bribes...

"FIRE THAT GUY!" -Senior Director that got fired.

I had a full page of those.

true story!

It's nice to see that TFS is really a journalist. It's very tiring reading the same fluff press reports that pass for media in motocross. Many of you are just viewing the sport through rose colored glasses.

Not that it really means anything, but history shows that the economy tends to get fixed. It won't always be this way.
