I have not followed the GPs too closely, but I've heard very little about this guy. He had a terrible US GP, scoring only 11 total points, but he is still only 22 points out of 1st place. Wow. Looks like a great 3 horse race like the US Nationals. Was SF viewed as a contender pre-season?

Frossard was top5 guy in 250, but nobody thought he will have a season he has on a 450. Cairoli hurt his knee at the very beginning of the season and had blood and water sucked out of it a couple of times and he couldn`t train. Everybody knew that this championship was about Cairoli vs Desalle, but Frossard is playing a spoiler. Too bad Desalle is hurt now and who knows when he`ll be back in full speed. He salvaged a lot of points this past race. Frossard reminds me of Paulin who`s just like in another gear as soon as he gets on a 450.

Thanks. I wish I had more time to follow the series.

Frossard has definitely been a relevation this season, I'm pretty sure no one really expected him to match Cairoli and Desalle, if not for his dismal USGP he would be right in the thick of the championship hunt.

Frossard is putting in great results, but he is a complete asshole in my eyes. He didn't show the least bit of sportsmanship when Desalle beat him straight up at the first GP and Frossard refused to shake Desalle's hand, and instead rode off like a crying baby.

he is fast and always was, nothing else to say really. It is a shame DP 19 isn't in the hunt this year - still, there is time.

Desalle was not a lock for the series. There was one point between him and AC coming into Sweden (before Desalle got hurt) Frossard was fast he won the Swedish MX2 GP last year against Roczen and Musquin, but I don't think anyone expected him to have the consistency he has shown this year, he is a bigger guys and the 450 suits him better than the 250f too. 22 points between the top three.. I think Cairoli is still the favourite down the stretch with Desalles injury and Frossard's inexperiance.

Look for Gautier Paulin to be in MX1 next season... he hauls on a 450 maybe more than Frossard.

To anyone who cares to watch the GP's from years past, learn the series, tracks, riders and so on. There are torrents out there for the 2008 series (MX1 & 2) all rounds in English. Also about half the series in 2009 in Italian. All of 2010 in Italian and now all of 2011 so far in Italian. Plus about half from 2007 in Italian (That's the year Cairoli and Pourcel went at it before he broke his back, Namur was an AMAZING race). If you watch the first year in English you learn enough of the riders to not need English commentary anyway. I partially know Italian now. When you see someone like Leok come out of nowhere and get second place on a TM it makes more sense if you've seen his ability in previous years.

Would you be happy if you just threw away your first MX1 overall in your first ever attempt and had the chance to do it going 1-1?
