This is his defence mechanism and whatever you all might think, he doesn't seek out abuse, he doesn't want to be ostracised and these comments certainly don't just roll off his back like some of you seem to think they do.
How about showing some real character and support him once in a while, I bet you will be surprised with the response you get.
I've been watching how people have treated him over the past couple of years on this board and quite frankly I don't understand why some of you think he warrants this kind of bullying.
That's how I see it as well. Kid seems nice and is actually a decent rider, and have showed some skills with the camera as well but like all other kids needs proper guidance, and Vital is NOT the place for that. Sure GuyB cleans the place pretty often and deletes the extreme asshats, but despite that people (me including) are really dicks from time to time, maybe we are frustrated about insignificant matters and choose take it out on others, dunno but you need thick skin to survive here I think, something a young kid hasn't gotten yet...

Ddavis, leave this miserable dump. We are all has beens, or newer became. You still have the potential to become something! Wink

Maybe, we all just throw in $5 and get the Lad a proper hooker? If done properly, he'll forget all about that scrubbing nonsense, and get his focus more on those cornering skills?

If that doesn't work, there's always drugs and alcohol to fall back on.

Does anyone else think it's hilarious that people are still trying to be his life coach? The kid is 18, still a kid but basically a young man....he'll live without people telling him to leave the interweb.

One of my really good friends now was a total idiot on message boards when he was 14/15 and we all told him to STFU constantly, with a little constructive criticism thrown in from time to time. He actually turned out fine and is a very tolerable normal human being now that I hang out with a lot, granted he got out of his 'post retarded stuff constantly' phase before the age of 18. The point is, Devin is fine and just happens to be a young person who posts lots of stuff on the internet that makes people say WTF or shake their head. That then leads to banter/funny comments.

While I do sometimes post in some of the threads about you, I can say that I've never insulted you or actually badmouthed you. I just like to post goofy things when stuff like this is going on. Your post don't bother me at all and I actually think its funnier watching some other people get all worked up and pissed off about you. And you're that you do add an entertainment value here whether people want to admit it or not.

Edit: mxmat813 - I couldn't find a decent program to import my videos either so I literally take the MP4 file directly off the camera and upload it to youtube. I try and keep my vids short, just a lap or 2 at most so the size of the file won't be crazy. That way the full quality, sound, and frame-rate aren't degraded by some cheap compression and editing software.

the only thing I could find to handle hi-def video and not crash like crazy is a program called smart-cutter

But, it doesn't handle MP4 containers as far as I can tell. I use .ts files for recording HD video of races.

In this video I was actually going at an alright pace, the first two videos I wasn't really hitting lines smooth. This one I'm not really hanging it out but it's faster than the other 2 videos. Errrr, less slow I should say. It's not really fast.

@1:31 it used to go the other way with a 70' tabletop and one time I landed on the side of the track literally on the side of the cliff. Really lucky I didn't crash. It does get pretty sketchy, but it's not too bad.
