You guys are just egging him on right? They don't look like anything near scrubs so why try n tell him how to do it?

Every kid that thinks he's fast will do those annoying twitchy things and think they're staying mad low. But your just enabling this kid when you carry on about it, he'll learn in his own way that that shit just looks stupid, and he'll impress easier when he railing corners and not concentrating on that lip twitch thing he has goin on, let him be, ignore his shit and he'll figure it out.

If the kid thinks he can scrub, then don't be afraid to show us your back wheel in the next helmet cam.

No way in hell you are hitting that shit fast enough to land 20 feet flat bro. Sorry man I hate to be the prick but I aint the one running around here 24/7 acting like im fucking Ken Roczen or some shit. You are a good intermediate level rider. Thats it and there is nothing wrong with that. I would be suprised if your lap time went up a full second if you did laps without any scrubs at all.
For somebody who "Hates to be the prick" , you sure do a damn good job of it with this post (and with your post an hour later)....

I thought all tracks in CA were top grade, Piru looks crap, to put it mildly.

Why do you attempt to scrub over every jump? A - its not exactly a scrub that your doing as much as a goony wiggle up the jump face. B - You are not doing it anywhere where it is doing you any good. Perhaps you should stop working on the scrub and start working a little harder on your corner speed. Alot easier to pick up speed in the corners than on the jump faces. Not that I have any idea what I am talking about....
Yeah Ddavis, how dare you! How dare you scrub and have fun riding your dirt bike! What the fuck!
That shit is absolute no go. Stop having fun riding your dirt bike and god forbid do any scrubs.

Now go do figure 8's and work on your cornering.

@jhansen510, you may have meant well, but your post made you look like a prick.

I don't usually get involved in these dogpiles, but did you actually slap your front fender at 2:07? Dude, I was going to overlook the facts that your bike sounds like shit, your "scrubs" consist of wiggling the front wheel while your bike is perpendicular to the ground and your cornering skills are horrible, even at your beginner speed.

But then you had to slap your fender and now I have to tell you that shit is embarrassing...for you, your entire family tree and for anyone that rides a dirt bike. Please stop.

X2

There are a core of members on this board who like to rip the ship out of others, and for no apparent reason. I find it unbelievable and it's really starting to piss me off.
I'm all for vigorus discussion and playfully taking the piss out of each other, but this shit is really uncalled for.
I've watched this vid a couple of times and if anyone thinks they can judge his speed and style from that they are full of shit.
Devin cops a lot of unwaranted crap, he's obviously passionate about this sport and actively contributes.

Give the kid a break and leave him the fuck alone for once.

For the benefit of everyone here, could you please explain what you were intending to achieve with this post?

Because it would provide clarification as to whether you were tyring to be helpful to Ddavis with constructive criticism or just trying to humiliate him

Nice riding! I actually thought you looked quite fast. You virtually always lose the sense of speed to some degree in helmet cam vids anyway. Does the Pro National head cam footage ever convey how fast the wearer is going? Not really. On careful inspection your corner speed was very respectable, especially considering the conditions which appear quite slick.

I give up. I cant even get mad at you when you say something like that. It is obvious that you are dillusional or suffer from some sort of mental illness. If you are better at most things than most pros why the fuck arent you out there winning some championships bro?
you idiots. Davis comes on here day after day and fucks with you guys, yet you're too thick to figure it out.

Devin, not to hijack your thread, but how do you import your video's? I just got a gopro and this is my 4th video I tried to do and I'm having trouble importing them. If I plug the camera into the TV they look great, but as soon as I put it into imovie it drops the frame rate from 60 to 30. Then it seems to lose more quality on upload to youtube. Anyone have any secrets to keep the frame rate? Thanks!

In goofball's defense it looks like that dirt and those flat turns suck. No one is gonna carry much corner speed on an ice skating rink like that. And yea it's obvious the kid says some of this stuff just to get a rise. Thinks he's the next Lenny. More power to him, this place wouldn't be the same if there wasn't a cocky ass DDavis comment to pile on so that fake cover can be posted again.

Edit: mxmat813 - I couldn't find a decent program to import my videos either so I literally take the MP4 file directly off the camera and upload it to youtube. I try and keep my vids short, just a lap or 2 at most so the size of the file won't be crazy. That way the full quality, sound, and frame-rate aren't degraded by some cheap compression and editing software.

Devin, I thought you were riding pretty good. Im not big on the scrube either but that's because I cant scrub. Lets see a vid on a better track with some good lines and good ruts then I will give my $1.23 opinion.

Keep in mind that Im not an expert like most of the haters in this board.lol

Here's an idea... just remove the tranny and clutch, drop in a direct drive third gear, bump start it and off you go.

Easy ten pound savings.

Thanks Shawn, that's a bummer. That seems to be one of the flaws with these. They also never seem to do a track justice. They level out the bumps and make most tracks look narrow. I guess for $300 you can't ask for much more though, it is probably one of the cheapest HD camera's on the market.

This brings to mind something Carey Hart said on Twitter about a year and a half ago...

hartluck Hey moto riders out there. Unless you're a legit pro rider, don't try to scrub. 1) you look like an idiot 2) its dangerous.
6/30/2011 6:03am Edited Date/Time 6/30/2011 6:34pm
Hey devin you going pro after LL this year? haha looking at the video the way his front wheel barely moves for a so called scrub is kind of funny.
