Working on a project and really need a little insight on it. If anyone could PM me contact info for the people listed above I would greatly appreciate it. Pat rode the 77 RM125 for the Moto X Fox Team and I heard he is possibly in Colorado doing some off road stuff. Colorado 500 ring a bell with anyone up there? Chuck Tannlund "Reverand Chuck " in the Fox ads was Pat's tuner that year. Bob Fox probably needs no introduction. Fox shock guru who worked with Pat on the motocross team back then. Thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction!


Over in the moto section, Uncle of 2 has offered to send me contact info for Pat, so that's one down so far!!!

George McNamara posted some info about Chuck a while back, you here George?

He lives in Oregon and can be found fly fishing in the North Umpqua River. Chuck fly fishing exploits were once included in a Sports Illustrated artice back in the 1970's.

Last I heard Pat Richter is still living in NorCal, near his home town of Fortuna.

George, the links to Chuck's auto racing are sooooo cool. The cars from that period are pretty amazing. I'll contact you for more info on Monday. Thanks!

Pat is living in Alaska, Uncle of 2 here has hooked me up with contact info for him.

I'm currently helping out a. fellow Elsinore enthusiast with a Pro-Fab swingarm project that works at Fox Racing Shox. I think I'm in at the right place there.

Cam, that head on Mark's is nothing short of a work of art . But mine will not only be a work of art, it will also be correct. Hutch finally gave up the original for me to analyze and replicate. I will be forever indebted to him for that one. He'll get the first ride on it! Not easy finding someone willing to put all the time and effort into replicating something like that but Tydog here on Vital offered when my fab guy backed out after closer inspection. I think this project will turn out quite nice, trying to make sure everything is as correct as possible.

I have a question for newmann about the water cooled head project.
If you get the head machined and everything what are you going to use as the radiator?
Can it be made from scratch or do you plan to alter something else?
I always wanted to do a project like this but i am just too lazy.

I have the original Shinobi head kit and will most likely use the radiator that is with it. Trying to get some better quality photos of Richters setup though. His radiator appeared to be aluminum and the upper tank has a slightly different shape to it than the Shinobi radiator. I will have one custom built if I have good info. The Shinobi heads were cast aluminum where the Fox was machined out of billet similar to the one in Cam's photo. The Fox head looks a lot different than that one though. Mine will be 100% accurate including the interior of the water chamber as we are using the actual Fox head as a model. Hutch over at Motonews saved the day on this project as I was about ready to call it quits when he offered to let me borrow the head.

Looking for contact info on Pat Richter. Raced behind him in the 70s. We both fell timber to pay our way and stay in shape.

Hey John, Randy Toreson here...man it's been a long time! Looks like you've increased your air time since we last chased each other on the tracks in Nor Cal and Southern Oregon.
Pat is in Alaska fishing, logging and flying, from what I understand pretty much has an island to himself/family. He's RV's uncle and his boy Spencer drove RV's RV for several years, now he's back in Alaska doing the same. I suppose they're living the (their) dream!
I'll track you down a contact.
