Remember when honda came out with the RS 750 to compete against the Harley Davidsons in the 80's. guys like bubba shobert, ricky Graham, etc made history with these bikes? Don Miller www.metroracing.com and bike owner Mike Scott of Scott Powersports in Coopersburg PA are bringing the RS750 out of retirement for one night!

Metro Racing is running an Vintage National this weekend at http://www.squaredealriders.com/square_deal_riders_004.htm

Bubba Shobert himself will be the man opening the throttle on the RS 750!

Here is a short video of the final touches getting the bike running for this event!

If your in the area I would recommend going and watching!

Enjoy!

Not too many motorcycles scare me, but that is a mean bitch right there!

Very cool. I remember seeing the crash that ended Bubba's career. Seeing him ride again would be a Privilege..

Harley did everything they could ,to get the #1 plate back from Honda, working the AMA for restrictor plates and having the bulk of the half mile and mile race schedule moved to the hottest and dryest parts of the year so the tracks would be dry slick. Those Hondas were Harley slayers.

the wood 109, Mike had this bike in pieces for years, Johnny Goad rebuilt the motor and Don Miller from Metro put the puzzle together! It was awesome to see the bike finished and to even get to take a few laps on the bike. I personally never got to see a RS 750 run but after a few laps around the show I can just imagine!

Thanks for everyone sharing there stories and thoughts!

Right on man, be sure to take some videos!

Mike has helped my dad and I out for years when I was racing moto and road racing. We actually bought Raun's YZ80 dirt tracker back in the day, and I did a few races on it, but it wasn't my thing. You guys have some skills, for sure.

I saw Mike at Daytona this year for the first time in some years, and watched you and Raun both shred there. That was some awesome racing, and it was good to talk to Mike for the first time in a while.

Sweet bike, and I'm glad to see some pros from other forms of motorcycle racing check in.

There's an ex-Ricky Graham RS750 on display at the local Harley Dealership here along with a bunch of other old race bikes. Very cool.
