Exactly, you may be able to get rid of this jackass. Soon enough another one the same or worse will be getting his nuts shaved(wtf?). She needs to raise her standards, any guy that would hit a girl is a worthless piece of shit.

First off... I don't think questioning the background of Chuck's relationship with his wife is in question here.

The question lies with how to deal with an unruly asshole.. and how he's affecting your step-daughter. He's 17... she's 16... we know he's hit her.. and probably more than once. That in itself is destructive enough for her to deal with. The longer this punk is around to influence her, causing the rebellion and diserespect.. the more she will accept it as normal relationship with men in the future. She needs to stop seeing this kid... and seems that the only way will be by your actions as step-dad. Sucks to be the bad guy.. but you gotta do what you gotta do. Maybe his birthday is soon .. he'll be 18.... statutory can be filed without your step daughters input. Take out the RO if need be. You can't be there 24/7, but take all avenues available to you.

Or take it old school style, commence to a good ass whoopin to the punk by people he doesn't even know... I have a little girl.. and in my eyes he needs a good ol fashioned beating.

It's hard to decide one way or another how to deal with that situation because she is your step daughter, but maybe what you get on this board may give you something to bounce off of.

Out of curiosity how did you get the wisdom that you should save the world from your offspring? Probably just dumb luck but who cares we should just be thankful.
