anybody know how many people showed up for Hangtown? Crowd looked good... 15-20k maybe?

Crowd was huge, they were saying that the GP had 20k and it looked deserted by comparison, if that were true, there were a lot more at Hangtown from what I could see.

Not only a big crowd, but a loud one! was cool hearing them go off, the 1st moto stream w/o announcers was really cool, just the sound of the bikes and the crowd, felt like being there.

They were going nuts when Dungey, Reed, and Villopoto were stacked up halfway through the 2nd moto. What motocross fan wouldn't be?

There is NO WAY there was 20K at the USGP. I would say 2-3K at the most. It was a ghost town.

I believe they said over the 3days, Friday was amateurs and then they had saturday and sunday. I was there no way 20k for sunday, but they said over 3 days, I only hit one.

What's with them having the fences so far from the track? you don't see anyone waiving on the riders with there shirts anymore WTF!?

It's called Insurance, those days of people hanging on the fences are just over, sad to say but true. You have to have a barrier between the spectators and the vehicles in the event, look at the desert races now !

That's kinda what i thought, i hit Magoo in the face at the USGP at carlsbad with my shirt frantically waiving him on, didn't faze him a bit though!
