After seeing Dungey dominate the first moto, I think he'll no longer be a 3rd-4th place finisher like he was in SX. Looks wayyyy better outdoors...

even more, his bike looked like it was tracking very well. his back wheel was never bouncing around.

speaking of reed though, that whoop wheel tap he was doing after the finish line was SICK fast

it was after the sweeper section after the finish, everyone was just hitting the brake bumps and he was wheely-tapping through it then getting on the gas. it was PURE moto

Oh and back to the topic of this post, give me a break.

I'm a HUGE Dungey fan, have been since his rookie year, but come on. He won one moto against a sick Villopoto and a Reed that had an air boot falling off. Was it a positive sign that he will be a contender this year? Yes. Did he blow them away and leave the competition wondering how they will beat him? Hardly.

Everyone has some more work to do and will continue to improve throughout the year. Who knows, maybe just like last year this will be Dungey's worst finish of the year?? Maybe Reed will find even more speed as he gets more comfortable on the bike? Out of the 3, Dungey is the only one with a good setup from last year that he could use as his basis for this year, RV and CR are basically starting from scratch and have only 2 or so weeks of testing under their belts.

Trust me, the last person on earth right now who thinks Dungey can take it easy and doesn't need to improve is Dungey.

One thing is for sure though, this season will be better than anything we've had since the RC/JS days.

Like Dean Wilson wheel tapping it on the gnarly downhill right over all the whoops that most riders were just bouncing off of? He must've been making up half a second just in that one section.

I think Dungey and Reed traded punches in moto 1 and 2, while Villopoto showed he certainly has the speed but was pretty under the weather. He'll come back punching hard when he gets over his cold/flu thing. I have to admit, even though RV is my favorite (local boy) I really like all 3 of them and can't really root against Reed or Dungey. It's kind cool!

Outdoors>supercross. Dungey is better outside. I hope RV can get back in it so we can see those 3 battle like they did in moto 2

One moto don't when a championship. Villopoto will be a lot faster in the weeks to come. You can take that to the bank.

Dungey rode a great first moto and rode well in moto two. That's the kind of riding that wins championships, but he gave it everything he had in moto 2. I was probably no more than 20 feet from the track, Dungey was done by the time he got to Reed, he caught him when Reed had backed it down a notch. Reed had him covered. The track was brutal.

It doesn't matter how much time you put on the guy behind you, 1st still pays the same amount of points. 2nd pays the same points even if you are a lap down. Look, I actually felt a little dislike for Dungey ease away while watching the race this week, only to get on here and see the fanboys stir me to dislike Mr. Dungey again. Do your rider a favor and "keep it classy" you might get less venom in return.

I think you are waaay off base here, most if not all RD fans simply defend him when he is put down or disrespected and if he proves you wrong and does good then you will be reminded that he is indeed a champion and not deserving of the comments you have made in the past..

This is not typical fan boy shite where someone comes on here professing that all other riders are crap and only their rider can win. This post is about the subtle look back RD gave RV, that's what i am doing to you in this thread..its about respect and he gets very little by many on here. Being quiet when you put him down is as classy as i will get but when he wins expect him to get a pat on the back from me and the other quiet RD fans on here!
Good luck to you and Mr. Dungey in the future then. May your love be eternal. Mr. Dungey will certainly be in the mix for the title this year, however I disagree that he will continue to run off and hide from the field. I will not degrade Mr. Dungey though.

Rad that was a nice cast, and the last line was perfect, you thought to set the hook. Congrats to RD on his first Moto win
and 2nd place overall. Great start to the year and he looks strong and determined, he is a good bet for you. I don't think
he rode that "shitty" but you know his style more than I. I do think that we are all in for a heck of an outdoor season and
we have not seen the best or worse of any of our contenders. I think I will stick with RV2, he was happy with how he did
and will be ready for the weeks ahead. Also, CR22 looks strong, loose, and determined and he will definately be in the
mix. I always pray for no injuries and hope MA800 and TC41 will both be there soon. What a great season this has been.

what he did was annihilate, killed and embarrassed the field yet not one word as to his great ride. He beat the "sure winner" by almost a minute! If he would have made good on that last lap pass attempt on Reed and gone 1-1 instead of 1-2 would that have made a difference?
I do know one thing, he shut up the people on here that said he would never win another race unless the whole field crashed out.. It seems to me that its business as usual for RD considering he is a slow starter and where he started this season. This could get boring real soon once he gets into the swing of things and starts to ride good.. not so shitty like he did Saturday.
I dont think i've seen someone deep throat through text until this fine piece of work......

This this the first time anyone has caught and passed Dungey while leading, and from the looks of it Dungey and Reed are the only ones in shape to run the pace for 30 +2!

If I'm not mistaken Josh Grant did it one moto last year. That's a guy who can win on any given day, but is just way too inconsistent. But yeah Dungey and Reed looked to be in the best shape by far. We'll see how long it takes Villopoto and Pourcel to get back into outdoor shape.

Fandad?

Hey there tiger, lest you not forgot Dungey's performance last year at Hangtown. It was very much less than stellar. You may want to see how things go the next few rounds before you get too crazy.

I actually enjoyed the race very much and thought both Dunge and Chad looked great, but, posts like this one just make me want RV to kick the shit out of "your guy".,.. just throwing that out there, carry on.
