RPM Racing Team - March Racing Report

Lynden, WA (April 12, 2016) - The RPM/FMF/Maxxis/KTM Racing Team motored through the month of March as riders put their Maxxis Tires in dirt all over the world.

"We have a great team this year," says team owner Mike Hurlbert. "Our riders are doing well at all the major Off Road events. We have a great group of riders and sponsors. This is going to be a fun year for all of us".

West Coast

Ty Tremaine finished 7th overall in the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship as a rookie in the pro class. Early in the season he's already earned a podium in SuperEnduro as well as valuable world experience. He is currently back in the U.S. practicing and training for the EnduroCross Series that kicks off in August.

Dante Oliveira won four (4) WORCS Pro 2 lights races in a row to start off the season. Many of his wins have come from massive holeshots and run away victories. Dante has also captured overall wins in the AMA Western Hare Scramble Series. He currently leads the 250 Pro class.

Travis Coy continues to run up front and landed his first WORCS Pro Podium of the year at the Lake Havasu round. He is also contesting in the AMA Western Hare Scramble Championship, earning podium finishes and sits 2nd in the overall pro points.

Eric Yorba is another rider on the west coast who continues to put in solid rides as the season progresses. With strong finishes at the WORCS races and a big win at the AMA Big 6 Series, Yorba is certainly one to watch this season.

Ricardo Angelini has persevered trough a tough start of the season. While his results may not show it, his riding has been spectacular. Angelini's come from behind rides in the WORCS are a true test of his ability on the bike.

East Coast

Jesse Ansley has won the first 2 rounds of the GNCC Racing Series and but a get-off in Round 3 has him sitting 2nd in championship points in the 200A class. He is one of the hottest amateur off-road racers in the sport, and we're proud to have him part of the RPM Team.

Rachel Gutish is still recovering from foot surgery but is getting stronger every race. She continues to give it her all at each round, including an impressive 4th at Round 2 in the GNCC WXC class.

Mike Witkowski looked strong during pre season testing, but suffered a shoulder injury prior to the opening round of GNCC. He was charging to the front, up to 5th, when he had a mechanical issue; he is looking really strong for Round #4.

Jubal Brown is another new addition to the RPM Racing Team, but has taken little time to get accustomed to his KTM race machine. He grabbed the 125 win at the Knuckle Buster NEPG Enduro in Alabama.

Evan Smith is a rookie pro in the NEPG Enduro and Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series. With multiple finishes inside the top 10, he continues to show skill and ability beyond his years. Smith is inside the top 10 in points for both series.

Drew Higgins continues to let his KTM 2 Stroke sing through the trees of the NEPG Enduro and Full Gas Sprint Enduro's. A blistering fast pace and wide open riding style have led him to multiple top 10 finishes across the east coast.
