MSR and Bike it Yamaha Cosworth team up for 2014 and Beyond.

MSR is pleased to announce the joining of forces with the Bike it Yamaha Cosworth team through the 2014 season and into the future. This year’s team will be managed by owner Steve Dixon and will field 28 year old Rui Goncalves in the MXGP class and 20 year old Max Anstie in the MX2 class, Swedish youngster Anton Lundgren and Norwegian youngster Magne Klinshiem will both step up to the MX2 alongside Max.
The team will also support 18 year old Englishman Ryan Houghton, who will do selected European MXGP races as well as 15 year old Jay Hauge who will also receive support in the EMX series. This year’s team will be flying the MSR flag as they prepare to take on the worlds best in the 2014 FIM MX GP series inLosail, Qatar.

“We are proud to be associated with such an iconic and established American brand, going into my 25th GP season I am just as exited as my first, even more so I would say! We have a canny way of developing the best out of a rider and continue to win GP’s with many riders, we aim to put MSR on the box many times this year and with such an array of different nationality riders on our team we will be sure to promote the MSR brand Worldwide. I can’t wait to wheel out the bike and riders in Qatar, they will definitely look the part,” stated owner Steve Dixon.

“Everyone at MSR is really excited about the opportunity to partner up with such a well ran program as the Bike It Yamaha Cosworth team. I have been trying to work something out with Steve for the past couple of seasons and this year all of the cards fell into place. We are looking to partner up with them for the long term and grow the MSR brand on a global scale,” added MSR International Marketing Manager Nick McBride.

With the FIM GP season set to kick off in March, the Bike it Yamaha Cosworth team will be getting underway with testing over the next couple of months in preparation for the upcoming season.  So make sure to keep your eyes on the whole Bike it Yamaha Cosworth team and look for them to represent the MSR brand up front in the coming GP series.
