Hi,
I’ve been having a starting issue with my 2019 Yz250f.
When I hit start the bike does a buzzing noise and doesn’t engage the starter. There’s no click, just a buzzing sound. The map switch light also turns on, so start button seems to be working.
Battery charge is fine; even tested with another battery. Replaced the kill switch as well just in case.
Solenoid also seems fine. Tested the ground wire and battery cables. If it were the starter I would think there’s a click.
Any ideas?
Update: Started going through the connectors, took the tank out (still connected) and cleaning around the wires.
Hit start and it’s now turning over. 🤷♀️
No idea why. Did a valve check recently. Could I have put the tank on wrong and messed up sone of the connections?
Doesn’t make much sense. Don’t trust it.
