Hey,
So I own a 2022 KTM 65 SX, and the spark plug is constantly wet, it is around 9 hours from new. I'm having a problem where every time I start the bike, it runs for one day, then the next day, it is not running then I check the spark plug, the spark plug is black and wet, if I try to clean it, the first time i clean it, it runs again, but just for a few minutes, then if I try to clean it and put it back in it just does not run, to fix the problem, I need to install a brand new plug, which costs 20$!!! Then the same thing happens, the bike is completely stock, and running 60:1 as recommended, But I will have to admit, I was stupid when it first arrived and I did not put any 2t oil in, that was just for the first refill, we had around 1 and a half hours on it without 2t oil... We took it to the dealer and they said it was " fine " , what they did is replace the spark plug, then it worked, but if they drove it around, then stopped driving, let her cool, it won't start again. When the bike came back it still was running bad, so I took the air filter out and saw some weird green substance on it, I used brake cleaner and took it all off, turns out that was meant to be there... The dealer told me to get it to run at higher RPMs, So when it was driven, it was at high RPM's the whole time, I could hear it! Did not help. We have already drained the carburetor, a bit of fuel came out. To get it started, I need to install a brand new spark plug, if that spark plug fouls, I have one more chance to clean it, put it back in, spray a bit of brake cleaner in the air filter, then it runs, this can't be normal, attached is the image of exactly what it looks like, when it starts after changing the spark plug, the smoke is white, by the end of the ride, it is transparent. Does anyone have an idea on what is happening? What I tend to do is after every ride with a new spark plug, I turn the fuel off, and let it run until it stops running, this helps to start it slightly... Can anyone please tell me what to do? Attached are images of exactly what the spark plug looks like after the bike does not start, it is a ngk LR8B

Someone is ripping off at $20 a plug It's $5.77 on Rocky Mtn Where is the air screw at?
I'm just using the spark plug stock, this is not my picture, but my spark plug looks the exact same, I am using LR8B, I just bought them from Amazon due to fast shipping, anyway, I am upgrading to a CR8HIX because they are listed as a good upgrade to the LR8B on NGK's website and Customer service told me it is a good upgrade. I actually think there is something wrong with the bike other than the spark plug, do you agree? I am not too sure where the air screw is supposed to be, I took the plug out the box, and threw it in the bike. Which one are you buying at Rocky Mountain?
But even at $5.77 I shouldn't need to buy a new spark plug a ride...
I just went to get it running, the spark plug was brand new, It isn't starting even with a brand new LRB8 in it...

Update: The bike started after I sprayed a bit of brake cleaner in the air filter...
Sounds like a little carb tuning is in order. What size main jet are you running and and how many turns out is your air screw?
I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't know, The bike is completely stock.
Sounds like you may have done some damage when you ran it without pre-mix. I'd check compression before doing anything else.
That is possible, but we did send it to the dealer, they checked everything out, and it was " fine "
I wouldn't take someone else's word for it. Check compression and get your carb specs laced out so you can find out what direction you need to go.
What dealership told you it was fine??
The one I bought it from, APEX CYCLE. I have ordered new jetting, we will see if that fixes it!
Alright, thanks so much for the help! I have new jetting ordered at the moment, once it arrives, I will put it in the bike, that fixed everyone else's bike , hopefully, it works for mine! I will keep you updated on what happens
