Wondering what other thoughts you guys have on the crack in the right side case on a 12 yz 85 other than replacing cases. I am already pricing that out. Around 600 on ebay for a decent looking set. Can't find many single right sides. Who, if anyone, could machine and perhaps install a sleeve. Any reputable engine shop that do stuff like this?
Was tearing down for a top end rebuild, some transmission bearing wear, and bottom end checks, then noticed the crack after removing the retaining screws. Bearing just slides out. Rebuilt many 2 and 4 stroke motors and never encountered this situation. Thank you.
You can't fix that Bro. It's junk. Always go with a matched pair if possible.
Looks like somebody installed the wrong fastener and split it.
