CRF450 ECU Removal?

Hey what’s up everyone,

2021-2024 Honda CRF450R.

Does anyone have any instructions, tips, or tricks to removing the stock ECU? Couldn’t find anything in the manual or online about it.

was peaking at the bike today and came to the conclusion it looks like it’s located behind the rear mud flap/bottom of airbox. Assuming I’ll have to take off the subframe and airboc to get to it.

I’m swapping over to the GET SX1 ECU.

Do not need to remove the subframe to get it out. Couple allen screws and that ECU box cover pops right off. Pull ecu forward/off the mounts, disconnect the electrical connectors.

(This is going based off memory from over 18 months ago so your results may vary, but I definitely did NOT have to remove the back half of the bike)

It has two Allen screws holding the cover over it. It looks like you can remove it without taking the bike apart.
