Hopefully they bring back 3 digit permanent numbers! 
 

Also it would be cool if they got the blue plate with yellow number for smx champion.

We had that because Wrangler was the sponsor. My understanding is that the SMX champion will wear the #1 next year in SMX only just like Chase will run the #1 in SX and Jett in MX…

Camel was mostly early 90s and they did run the blue and gold but not sure how long. I believe JMB had it.

Doesnt mean they cant bring it back. Since smx is a separate series from sx/mx they should run the blue plate instead of the red plate for just the 3 races. Whoever is the points leader in smx has the blue plate and the red plate doesn’t carry over into smx and the blue plate doesn’t carry over into sx/mx. This actually gives it a different feel and a special feel where ppl can only run the blue plate for 3 rounds out of the year. It gives it a level of scarcity and only the best of the best ever get it. The plate looks absolutely badass and it’s a part of moto history so it would be a cool piece of nostalgia, while also freshening things up that have been the same for a long time.
