Powdercoat vs Cerakote on shock spring?

I have two different shock springs I need done in black and am dropping some parts off for Cerakote and Powdercoat soon. I know Powdercoat will hold up fine but Cerakote will probably be cheaper, Would it hold up as good or similar on a shock spring?

My concern with Cerakote is that it may not have the elasticity of powdercoat and would crack/flake off over time as the spring is used. Powdercoat is a known quantity for shock springs, specifically, so I would go with that.

For any other application where you want it to wear like iron, I don't know of anything that wears longer. I've been using it on guns long before the moto community discovered it. It takes a lot of abuse before it starts wearing, unlike powdercoat.

i've run mine cerakoted in the h-series for a couple of years now, i used 12 to 1 ratio and i think it holds up easy as good if not better than powder, there is no chips, flaking or any signs of wear, i've just removed it as i'm going to do it the fx 102 cosmix over graphite black colour as my shock is ready for a strip and fresh,
