I want to get a holeshot device for my 2012 KX250F, but I'm worried about the fork guard being too close to the bottom of the fork. I know the device is somewhat recessed into the guard, but I think it may be too close and I don't want to punch into a fork seal or snap off a fork guard. I also want to add that OEM guards did this as well as the polisport (I they're polisport) ones I put on. Pictures attached

Came around this issue on a couple of bikes in the past. It makes you wear trough the circlip on the fork in no time as well as damaging the tubes.

What I did back then, and turned out well, is putting a piece of wood in between the fork leg and guard. Heat up the guard with a heat gun to soften it up. Then leave it standing for the night.

Hope this woorks for you!
