I’ve tried tightening the bolts down but I’m not having any luck. Just now getting sick of it any help? Or do I need to buy a new lever?

The lever moves in the perch or does the entire perch rotate around the bar?

Some wiggle is ok. If its excessive you really just need to examine the parts. The hole the bolt goes through might be worn to be to big or the bolt isnt the right size. Might need thin washers sandwiched between the lever and perch.

Or borrow or buy an extra lever, see if the lever is the problem.

I am 99% sure your perch is simply flared. This happens to every stock perch and most aftermarket ones after some time and a few crashes. What happened is that your lever was forced in an up or down direction and "leveraged" your perch, which bent outward ever so slightly, causing the slop. If you look closely from the side of the bike with the lever removed, I bet you can see the bends. When new, the perch has parallel internal surfaces, but now they probably flare outward from each other.
You can replace the perch, do the washer trick mentioned above, live with the slop, or try to bend it back. I've had so-so results with clamping the perch in a vise or a pair of vise grips overnight. Just be careful not to close the gap so much that your lever won't fit back in.

As said above, I’ve had a perch flare out on me in the past.

Also, check to make sure that there isn’t a missing bushing in the pivot of the lever.

All bikes do that...Wear and flare on the perch.
Except Ktm's. (true) Their design is awesome.

You need to get a new perch, bolt and lever.
