For fun, when I have some extra cash I buy used bikes once in a while and fix them, ride them and resell them. I recently picked up a 2006 RMZ450 and I’m replacing the top end and I notice the previous owner overfilled the crankcase and a lot of oil spilled into the stator area.
I know there is supposed to be a little oil in there for the cam chain/gear but the complete stator unit was submerged so do you guys think that could have any negative effect or should I just clean it and see how it runs?
Every time I work on a 4 stroke I completely forget everything and have to look it up or come on here and ask you guys these dumb questions! 🖖🏻
Thanks
