09 crf 450 fuel problems?

I have an 09 crf450 it will start but only if it is pulled or use starter fluid. I just replaced the injector and the fuel filter and it still will not start. Also when I put the fuel filter in the wires came undone from the fuel pump from the best I can tell in pictures I have seen it looks like the red is on the far left and black is right next to it.

check your valves first, then if they are in spec, test your fuel pump pressure. They've been known to go bad.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that it is your valves...but depending on the amount of hours on your bike it is likely you need to replace the timing chain.. or if the tentioner isn't working right it would react the same way as bad valves...But that's not to say that the issue you are having isn't just relayed to fuel issues.Disconnect your fuel line and see if you are getting fuel flow...and start eliminating from there...Good luck
