97 Rm125

Just wondering if anyone could tell me if a 2000 rm125 motor would fit a 97 frame, or visaversa.. also what parts as far as air box and plastics can be swapped around, I’m reatoring a 97 and found a complete 2000 for cheap I’m thinking of buying for parts.

the 98 to 01 motor changed, going to the internal water pump which was a terrible idea. But im not sure if it bolts in the same. I can post some pic of my 98 if you need.

The plastic will all bolt up. The fenders and sidepanels are all the same 96-00. 99-00 has a different front number plate with the upside down forks. The 96-98 and 99-00 shrouds all bolt up. The factory riders started running the big 99 style shrouds in 98....but in 2000 you see them using the older and smaller 96 shrouds.

Build 2 RMs a '97 and a 2000. I've got a '97 RM 125 with '98 RM 250 forks and it's a great bike.
