how nice of the federal reserve (which is discussed at length in this movie) to loan out another $200billion to spark our economy...I wonder what the interest on that 200billion will be to us tax payers down the road...this whole economy is all smoke and mirrors

Yep. It's all based on credit & consumer spending instead of producing tangible goods. We all know how the credit industry is doing since the home mortgage fiasco. No credit, no consumer spending. We're fucked. The sad part is our beloved "prez" & his stimulus package is trying to encourage more consumer spending in the vain hope that it will stave off the crash his policies created. Just keep spending money you don't have & if that doesn't work we'll give you some taxpayer money to spend. It's funny, in another thread there's one yahoo crying about the evils of socialism,the welfare state, health care & how the evil Democrats & their policies are going to drive us to ruin. Here we are being asked to provide welfare to the banks & the general population to "stimulate" the economy. Serious irony there.
