I have a laptop with windows 7 on it and when im on the internet and i put the mouse over the icon on the bottom of the screen it used to come up with little clips of all the windows but now it just comes up with titles. I just had my computer redone and I dont know how to change it. Does anyone know how to change it?

that one is just to take a peek at the desktop when you hover over the view desktop button.

There is another one for the preview taskbar options. It will come to me, give it time, i only had 1 RB today Blink

Try making a custom Aero theme, see if that works

"Taskbar Thumbnail Preview only works when you have Enabled Aero in Windwos 7"

in the personalization panel on the bottom it says troubleshoot problems with transparency and other Aero effects. When I click on it this message came up: The current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM). Contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for a WDDM-compatible driver.

I will have to show my parents tomorrow, I dont want to end up trying to do somethign and have it not work for another week.

Somehow you've got your video driver not working. Therefore you've lost the ability to have Aero and the peek function.

Reinstall the video driver.

btw Steve, you ever mess around with Teamviewer? i absolutely love it, rarely even have to have people bring their machines to me to fix anymore.

Disregard that other link i posted and check out this one, read the pink box describing what specs your computer needs to meet in order to have this function:

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/52265-taskbar-thumbnail-previews-e…

Ill check in here tomorrow and if you need some help, we can get it handled. You can always email me at ocscottie@hotmail.com if you ever get stuck on anything.

I've not used that, but I have used the remote help function in Windows 7 Pro to work on my mom's computer.

Give this one a try, kicks ass and is free. Much better than Remote Assistance in Win. imo
