My band is playing our first decent sized bar show tomorrow night, wish me luck, I can't wait! It's basically our "debut" with our current lineup, most of us have played together at a smaller bar or two for smaller amounts of money, but we're starting to book shows all around the area, so I'm pretty f*cking excited about it. I might put a video up of a song or two later.

Good luck! Your in Illinois, my old band played the Metro once. That was our biggest venue. Played with the Suicide Machines. Yes we survived. Har.

Very nice, have a blast!

The best thing about being a musician is getting on stage and struttin' your stuff.

I'm not sure if I miss gigging or not, but I certainly enjoyed it at the time.Smile

Kick some ass!

I was never a musician but i spent about 6 years as a DJ. The parties were a blast it was all the prep work an tearing down then driving home at 3 am that killed me. It's a young man's game. Unless you have roadies and all you have to do is show up do your thing then roll!

We had a road crew, but it still beats you up if you're playing several nights a week.

The pure drudgery of traveling, sound checks, and killing time in the hours between will burn you out pretty quick

But none of that matters when the lights come up.

My favorite part was when the lights went down and so did the panties!

Ah, the groupies!

We were playing a club called Spice that had a private club for VIPs and performers between the dressing rooms and the stage door.

When I came in from the stage after sound check, there were two topless girls sitting in the booth that was reserved for my band.Woohoo

We gave 'em to the roadies.Cool

We're playing at riverside rock n roll, it used to be known as (and everybody still calls it) the sandbar. They usually have music every saturday, but are taking a chance on a friday with us. The owner said they usually don't have crowds on fridays, but we're trying to pack the place
