There are certain websites I go to, and when my mouse runs over certain words in the text of the site, a small pop up advertisement within the page comes up for about 5 seconds.

No big deal, but it is indeed a pain in the ass. Is there a setting on my browser I can use to turn it off, or is it just something that is encoded into the actual site?

It is very annoying, i have a pretty strict blocklist in AdBlock+ and i still get those.

I was getting those, I ended up swapping to Chrome on my PC and no issues since.

I run firefox and didn't get a single popup or ad when I visited that page. Here are the two ad-block rules that prevented the ads for me.

I also run flashblock which as I can't stand flash running by default, especially flash ads.

No shit, I get nothing.

I even put the cursor over the ads and get nothing.

However, the ONLY thing that NO Script is allowing is the main sites, Investopedia and Forbes.

There are about 10 others like ADDTHIS.com , BitAds.com etc, etc etc that are all blocked.

Google analytics is what needs to be disabled.

That is disabled by default in No Script.

I have run noscript off and on but it generally blocks too much. It also seems to prevent flashblock from working properly. There may be a way to configure it so they both work but I don't know what that is.

Add No script. Only allow the main site.

If not sure, use the TEMPORARILY allow option. If not you can always go back and choose "Forbid XXXXX.com

All the others, like Revsci and crap like that..........all thats blocked by default for a reason.
