That dude coulda easily choked on that stoopid gum when he was KTFO. While unconscious he couldve easily sucked that thing into his airway and been braindead by the time they put that bird on the ground and extracted his ass outta there.

Cool video though.

Top fuel driver Brandon Bernstein went for a ride with a thunderbird this last weekend and pulled 9 G's,That would have to be a ride of a lifetime, wouldnt care if I puked or passed out, that would be a blast. That was pretty stupid to be chewing gum.

I puked in my garbage can just watching that.
You know those pilots must have a blast making people pass out and puke.

airshow coming to town the end of August here. Always love that show. I work downtown and for a couple days they fly low around the city just rumbling the buildings. For some reason it makes people use curse words......"holy shit that's bad ass" "dammnnnn"....just happens when they fly what seems like 50 feet from the top of our building then mash the throttle (or whatever you call it) and haul the mail across the sky.

I think I'd pass on a ride with them. Don't ya remember Emig blaming most of his 1998 problems on the flight with them he took at the end of 97?

Is that what it is? Then I know a lot of people who have taken rides with the Blue Angels.

I was refering to the vision and balance problems, I'm pretty sure 1998 wasn't the first time he toked up.

How do you explain the fact that some of these pilots have been doing that stuff for 30 years?

The F-16 test pilot at General Dynamics had been pulling Gs since the 70s, and was still capable of pushing the Falcon to it's limits...everyday.

Those were Emig's claims, I have not tested the theory, but it doesn't sound so far fetched that G's like that could have an adverse effect on someone's health. He claimed vision problems, balance problems, and severe headaches started after his trip with the "Blue Angels". I'm sure these pilots work their way up to getting used to pulling these kind of G's,doubt they were exposing their bodies to that on the first day of flight training.

Very cool. Remember reading an article in GQ(?) or somewhere about a few of the blue angel pilots training regime, VERY impressive. They have my upmost respect for sure.

Maybe they should have taken somebody that was in a bit better shape?

I'm sure they all have a chuckle at the end of the day after bringing somebody like that up for a few passes.

Looks like a lot of fun. I'd jump at the opportunity. (and prolly would pass out a few times as well)
