I want to start an online based dealership - selling a few cars or bikes a month at most. Seems from my research is isn’t possible how I see it in my head.
I imagine just buying and selling them from my home, listing on the various platforms, documenting profit and sales, paying taxes etc.
But seems you need a legitimate location that meets specific guidelines and that’s where I start to get discouraged.
Buying a property for something like this seems like it would take up quite a bit of the money I even have for the inventory and makes it seem a bigger step than it needs to be.
It sure seems like many are based solely online without a physical showroom or location.
Maybe different states have different rules.
Anyone have any input? Need someone to hold my hand.
