The Shop
I agree about fake screen names. There's no place for those!
Anyway, nice lookin piece.

Is it that they cannot import or manufacture new or used magazines into the State?
Can you buy & sell used magazines still (since possession is still legal I assume)?
Can dealers still sell what they have left in their inventory and sell used magazines they acquire from trade-ins ect. after July 1st?
They can still make them in Colorado but Magpul is going to move out of state.
You can buy and bring new magazines into the state they just cant ship them to Colorado.
All gun dealers are sold out so they wont have any old inventory but not sure if they will be able to sell preban or used mags.
Its a poorly worded law that at first made it illegal for law enforcement to carry mags over 10 rounds.
Colo Rep Diana DeGette didn't know that you can reload and reuse mags lol she said Colorado would be safer because after all the bullets were shot the mags would be thrown away because they are empty.

I wonder if anyone ever broke the news to them - that not only can you reload mags - but you can also
rebuild them by replacing the spring ect..
So basically you can stop in a gun shop in Wyoming,New Mexico,Utah or anywhere for that matter and stock up on mags
and take them home with you?
So I wonder if you can legally sell them off Arms List or other classified sites as a private party?

Says it will be illegal to sell or transfer them or possess (any newly acquired magazines).
They leave it sort of grey....
The bill prohibits the sale, transfer, or possession of an
ammunition feeding device that is capable of accepting, or that can be
readily converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition or more
than 5 shotgun shells (large-capacity magazine). A person may possess
a large-capacity magazine if he or she owns the large-capacity magazine
on the effective date of the bill and maintains continuous possession of
the large-capacity magazine.
A person who sells, transfers, or possesses a large-capacity
magazine in violation of the new provision commits a class 2
misdemeanor.
A large-capacity magazine that is manufactured in Colorado on or
after the effective date of the bill must include a serial number and the
date upon which the large-capacity magazine was manufactured or
assembled. The serial number and date must be legibly and conspicuously
engraved or cast upon the outer surface of the large-capacity magazine.
The Colorado bureau of investigation may promulgate rules that may
require a large-capacity magazine that is manufactured on or after the
effective date of the bill to bear identifying information in addition to the
serial number and date of assembly.
A person who manufactures a large-capacity magazine in Colorado
in violation of the new provision commits a class 2 misdemeanor.
The state has been flooded with millions of mags so I don't see a shortage in the foreseeable future and maybe the people of Colorado will take steps in the up coming elections to boot the reps like Degette and the Gov Hickenlooper.
A large number of Sheriffs in Colorado said they will not enforce the unconstitutional new law so it looks more like company's like magpul will be hit the hardest but with the amount of mags sold the last 6 months they are making $$$$$$$$$$$$
Thanks Obama and DeGette you have put more guns and mags on the streets than would ever have been out there if you had stayed silent and listened to the people.
However,that was a manufacture & import ban.
We could still trade & sell them freely - private parties & dealers.
Even distributors could still distribute them.
I remember getting $150.00 a piece for Glock 30 round 9mm mags after that ban went into effect.
It was crazy.
Good stuff, shoot, need to PM Fast Eddy
