Hey guys, I put a resume together to try and land a few sponsors for my racing season next year. I was wondering if I could get a couple of the vital locals to check it out and give some pointers or suggestions to me? Let me know and I can send out a copy to you.

I don't necessarily want it just posted out there, but I'll email it to whoever is willing to check it out. Just a simple word file.

When I was up and winning races I was able to land some sponsors by mass mailing potential sponsors, this was back in 84 so I am sure things changed but I got an answer from everybody I sent to ( 14 or so) even thou most would come back saying " We are sorry to say that our team is filled at this moment and be sure to try again next year" or something to that nature.

Results on a local level goes a long way

Thanks Bill, you should have an email shortly.

Its weird with stock car racing, because product sponsorship doesn't happen a whole lot because its not really whats needed. In moto its mainly product sponsorship (gear, boots, graphics ETC) and shop help, but rarely any money going into the racers program. In stock car stuff youre usually on a spec tire that you buy from the track, spec track fuel, and by the time the car is built you don't really have a whole lot of parts going towards it.

Man I am stoked to know that you raced in the "Hornets class" My Daughter and I go to the speedway at least twice a year and she has always said she wants to race. She races Kart right now and is wide open on it so much she scares me. When she turns 14 (that's the Hornets minimum age) she wants to race cars. She just turned 13 three weeks ago and so I am in the market for a Hornet car and some info on the class.

Edit: I sent back some things that may help and more info needed

There are a couple really good cars out there right now for sale in the hornet class. Not sure if you were going to Calhan or I-25, but the #0 hornet from last year is for sale without the seat. Throw another seat in it and its good to go. It is an OK class, but the stupid stuff of running clockwise is taking cars out of the class, and that's what destroyed my car and my shot at a championship last year. FWD car + 230lb driver + turning to the right aggressively + no right front tire traction.

Sounds nice, send me the details on it VIA email she weights a total of 65 pounds 4-4, small girl for her age she should kick same ass after she gets a few laps.
Not knowing what turning left all the time is about maybe an advantage

here's a decent example. I help some local pro's with their resume's in off season. Short, sweet, to the point. If youre not applying to the mxresume or sponsorhouse machine where every one gets a deal, and are actually aiming for real support, this is what people look at. Its not boring, it grabs attention, just enough information to get a good feel while keeping the prospective sponsor focused.

I'll consider sponsoring you if you run a big Denver Bronco logo on your car.
