Hi Guys,

I'm new here. I thought I would post this for a little amusement.

A little off-road motor project that a friend and I have been working on for a while now. Somewhere between a mountainboard and an off-road buggy, but also using bike bits.

12kW of power and current top speed of 70km/h. We designed it with the motocross track in mindSmile

Please feel free to provide some feedback or slag it off. Cheers.

Looks like fun plus seminal battery drain.

I doubt it would work on an average motocross track (sand, ruts, etc) but interesting for sure. I can't skateboard so it wouldn't be for me. Now if you put a handlebar on it I might be able to ride it. Smile

From the looks of it, golfboard has a conventional mountainboard truck with some motors attached. Not saying that putting motors onto a board is a new concept.

The Segway already revolutionized the way people get hit by cars. Tongue Just joshing, always a place for people that make something new, so best wishes.

That would be really cool on a BMX track. Like Boardercross on dirt.

Our little internal goal is to do a Top Gear-esque comp of motocross vs boardercross vs ATV type race :D Will need a pro snowboarder to ride it though.
We know how to get the board to do 60mi/h+ manageably; but for sensibility and cost reasons, we kept it down.

I gotta admit. It looks more fun now that I saw the video. I wouldn't mind doing a few laps at the track with it. You think you could squeeze about 120mph out of it and can I mount a set of slicks on it? Smile

The tyres we are using are 10x2. If you can find slicks around that size, more than welcome!
120mph wow, now that's an enticing challenge! Cool I think you will be getting blown off by the wind at that stage lol.

Electric regenerative braking, controlled by wireless hand controller. Could also just slide it out like conventional boards.
