Before you click on this video.....turn up your volume!!! I don't fly the real sized Aerobatic airplanes , but I fly what is called "Giant scale ".....which range from about 7' - 9' across the wings. I can spend up to about $2500.00 - $4500.00 per airplane. But watching guys like Jim Leroy , Sean Tucker and Jurgis Kairys ( who is in the video ).....has always been a dream of mine to be able to do that sport. I have watched this short video probably a 1000 times , and it still stands the hair up on the back of my neck!

Check it out , and make sure to turn the volume up! There where about 100,000 people at this event over seas in Lithuania. >>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQpoiQnGYTg

Jeff, speaking of the RC flying subject...do you remember one of my OCR MCM team mates OCR_Kaze? He is also way into RC planes, has flown in championships all over the world, he is a pretty badass dude. He has TONS of planes, pretty cool and a gnarly "hobby", the technology of electronics sure has come a LONG way (like you mentioned in an earlier post.) he doesnt do the giant scale though, i have some pics on his planes somewhere, ill dig a couple up.

Never got into the flying thing myself, just dabbled in cars a bit.

\How are some of the new cheaper electric planes around nowadays Jeff? I would really dig getting one. I have always wanted to be a pilot too but the cost of really flying now is crazy.

Scottie....can you tell me his name ( maybe PM me? ). I have flown with some really good NW pilots that have competed in some world and national competitions and they may know him , especially if he is from So Scal some where. I raced the 1/8th offroad buggies and truggies for a few years and then I got into the airplanes. They are both great hobbies for sure. And I can tell ya.....getting a big 105" wingspan plane strait up and down in front of you in a hover right off the deck can put your balls into your stomach. I really haven't ever posted this before , because I'm actually a lot better than what this video shows. It was my first flight in over 3 months and after I rebuilt my yellow AJ Slick from a bad wreck. I didn't even know I was being filmed , but I would of really hung it out if I knew I was being taped. It takes me a few minutes before I do some low hovers and so forth , but this is me flying at my field just 10 minutes from my house >>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kxd_9D_eoK8&feature=player_embedded Remember , it was just a "feeling out" type flight! Don't be to hard on me! That plane is 89" across the wings ( about 7.5' ) with a little Bme 58cc motor on front. My bigger yak and sukhoi's are quite a bit bigger than this one in the video.

Cyg.....oh man , the smaller electrics have come a long ways. In fact....the big yellow plane in the video above , is getting converted to electric now. Little less flight time , but I will gain about 30% more power! Some of my smaller planes are all electric now. I have a 3DHS 70" AJ Slick , and a 58" Extra 300 made by precision aerobatics.....which is an incredible flying airplane. I have grass stains on the end of all the control surfaces from rubbing them on low rolls , hovers , ect..... The hobby is a blast. If you ever need any info on what size plane , motor , battery , ect.....just hit me up! I have this stuff down to a science!

His name is David Lloyd and lives in SoCal, back in the MCM2 days on our OCR site i had pics in his profile of him standing on the podium at the Worlds. He is a really good dude and a total RIOT! He is the kind of guy that when he does something, he goes ALL OUT and only buys the best. Like in the MCM days when we were full on PC geeks, he always had the best shit! I found some pics of his planes, not sure how old these are, let me get them uploaded....

I presently have the Aerostar .40 like the red one on the wall. Easy flier which is good because I got burnt out rebuilding airplanes.
