Found this and thought it was pretty cool, about 2/3 of the way through look at the dust up.
These are Dutch jets.

Nice.

I've always liked this one of the Swiss Air Force.

assume I could handle the g's (big assumption) I wonder if I woud be a good jet pilot. I'm basing this on my video game skills alone.

A 10's have hooks if they are on a carrier.
Ive seen a few jets have their hooks tore off.
You know what that means if you cant make it to a land base?

Most people wouldnt know how to fly upside down Dirty.

A-10s aren't on carriers and they don't have hooks. Not just jets on carriers have hooks either. Air force jets also have hooks to catch the cables at EOR in an emergency. I worked F-4E and Gs (had hooks but not for carrier), F16A and B models (had hooks definitely not for carrier), A-10 (no hook, definitely not for carrier).

I've never heard of an A-10 landing on a carrier and don't believe it's ever happened but if you got pictures I'll certainly look. Smile

Are you saying Phantoms have never been on a carrier?
I was thinking A6's. F-16s landing gear is too weak for repeated carrier landings.

Not at all. I'm saying the air force model of the F-4 does not land on carrier of which I worked two of the Air Force models (E and G models). I believe that would be a J model in that picture. You are right about the F-16, the gear is one of the main reasons it's not a carrier bird. It's just not designed to be a carrier jet.

My cousin's husband flew EA-6 prowlers I've heard similar landing stories, Navy aviators are a different breed for sure.
