Anyone own google? It went up $80 yesterday.



Does anyone do active trading or day trading? I do a form of day trading occasionally if it's slow at work . I usually buy on tuesday and sell thursday or friday. Doing the research is a good way to keep up-to-date on what's going on in the financial world.

The Microsoft takeover dealio is being used to pump up the price before they sell out. From the looks of things it's working quite nicely. Smart move by the Google guys.

Good earnings report. They were trading at $700 not too long ago. 18% jump. Some people made some moola.

Google's net rev. growth year over year is 40-50%, and their revenues are projected to be up 20-25% over the next 3 years. It's earnings per share is about $24, so with a multiple of 20-25 $500-$600 a share isn't unreasonable at all.

If Googles price seems high - look at Berkshire-Hathaway at $128,000 a share....

I've had google since it went public. On Tuesday I picked up some more for 440, but I was hedging my bet against the analysts due to the talks they are in with Yahoo right now. I wasn't expecting their foreign earnings to be as high as they were, which is what sent the stock soaring after the close on Thursday. I didn't think it would be as low as most of the experts either; however, most analysts were insisting the stock would drop below $400 when their quarterly came out. Sometimes it pays to be lucky. I just wish I had put some more money in this week.

Picking up Baidu at the IPO would have been great. Unfortunately I missed the boat on that one.

Just think the stimulus check most of you are going to get isnt enough for one share of Google. HA! Maybe a couple of you can go together and split a share.
