As an FYI, I am working on a comprehensive Florida casino website for residents and tourists that isn't just regurgitated PR junk from the casinos, but real world reviews and observations from someone who has actually visited each casino and can give honest feedback. There is no real honest information online about gaming in Florida and I thought that was bullshit, especially for tourists. Not to mention, a lot of what's online is way out of date and some listed casinos are closed or changed hands

I want it to be real reviews and my own pictures, not set up professional photographer photos, which is hard to do because casinos hate people taking pictures, so I have to sneak them on my iPhone

www.floridacasinosonline.com (it's a work in progress)

Well, yesterday I roadtripped down to the Miami area and visited about 6 casinos to take pictures, walk though and play a bit.

I KILLED IT

I made BIG PROFIT, a couple grand....

and there were a lot more than these....these are the ones I remembered to take pictures of

($1800)

So now you've found a way to justify going to casinos all the time. Are we going to have to do an intervention some time in the future?

Nah, I don't go all the time, really like once, maybe twice per month

This does give me an excuse to go to Miami and visit my Dad more often, as most of the casinos are down there

But I do wonder how much I could write off on something like this.....

You could write off the mileage and losses, website fees. But you'd have to count winnings and internet ad revenue as income.

Glad you had a good day.

Some people have it and some don't. I one of those that don't have have it, and might as well be throwing money away.

Gambling is a form of recreation for a lot of elderly or retired people, and for the most part, they gamble in a responsible manner, so I think your website would be a good thing.

Sounds like a fun venture. We need some roulette in this state. lol I am a poker player really and my poker luck has paid most of my bills for a few years somehow. I am also all time money winner in our poker club. My wife does really well also and we went 1st and second last night...again. Good times. We have a side pot jack pot that has been building for over a year and half and is huge. 4 of a kind 10's or better take it but you have to have two of cards in your hand and we have been in an unusual drought on that happening. We used to see it all the time but this pot is huge now. It's hard to raise when you are holding a big pocket pair because you want to see all the cards to have a chance at the jackpot and it changes the game play. Love the game. Heading to Vegas again soon and going to give them a chance to get some of thier money back. My friends all call me the 1%er. lol

The house hold (edge) is much lower on higher wager machines.

Basically, the higher you wager, the better your odds are.
So, while you're wagering more, you also have better odds and therefore win more and more often

They are the biggest corporate opponents of expanded gambling in Florida.
They want nothing to do with it and don't want any gambling in Florida if they have anything to do with it.

It doesn't meet their "wholesome, family image" and takes money away from their theme parks.

Orlando as a whole, with all of their theme parks, doesn't want gambling, because it'll take away money from the theme parks

slot machines are set in favor of the house! it is impossible to win more and more!
