This weeks clip(s) highlight two of KTMboy137 favorite bands. (not) In years past, we have had heated debates about the merits of these two groups. I believe his term for one of them was the “ first boy band” and the front man of the other was a talent-less hack. I’ll let you guys decide.

These guys aren’t as ill matched as it might seem. Kurt Cobain loved the Beatles, John in particular. I saw a thing on them with Butch Vig where Vig said anytime he met with resistance to an idea in the studio during the making of Nevermind, he merely said , “well that’s the way Lennon did it”

“ first boy band”

It doesn't get anymore accurate than that.

There is some major talent in nirvana but it's not that wasted guy with the off key raspy voice. The major talent in this band is sitting behind a drum set.

Neither of these two are my favorites, but I've enjoyed both.

Not every band has to be about having the most talented musician. Both opened up new chapters in the music business. Not that they necessarily are the creators of the new sound, but they paved the way.

As far as being "the first boy band"...better to be the original than just one of many.

I can agree with that but for me personally the Beatles music if far from being timeless.

As far as Nirvana I feel that if Cobain were alive today there would be no legendary status. The band would have faded out just like the other Seattle grunge bands.

Offing yourself pays big if you're either a actor or musician.
