This is a tough one IMO, but I am gonna have to guess Maynard due to his superior strength, size and wrestling. He should have a psychological advantage too, due to his previous win over Edgar.

Maynard should be able to put Frankie on his back at some point and ground and pound him out. Pettis will win over Maynard when the unify the belts though.

Gotta go with Maynard. Consider myself fortunate to have seen this jazz great twice. Take five minutes for this one. The old guy had a set of chops like no other.

For real Newmann. He was an athlete amongst trumpet players.

I think you are right, not a huge fan of Maynard, yet Frankie has improved a lot, but i dont see him able to handle Grey in either stand up or the ground game.

Pettis is a badass! Did you ever happen to catch the show "World of Jenks" on MTV? The dude followed around Pettis and learned what it was like to be an MMA fighter, it was a really cool show. (can probably find it online if you havent seen it)

Also: did you guys hear Chuck finally announced his retirement yesterday? he still has a job with the UFC: "Liddell will become the new Vice President Of Buisness Development".

Yeah Pettis is for real. I missed the World of Jenks episode, I heard it was good. I'm definitely going to watch it, thanks for the link. Yeah I saw where Chuck officially retired, it was time he had a good run. The new breed of fighters are taking over that are faster, more well rounded, better defense etc... I'm gonna miss the Iceman though.

Happy New Year Scottie!

Damn Scottie sorry to hear about your brother, I kept meaning to ask you how he was doing rockin the #28. I hope he gets well soon and keeps it safe.

Yeah when I heard the prelims were on ION I was like WTF? Lucky I just got AT&T Uverse and I have ION now. There is some good fights on the prelims.

I just watched the World of Jenks episode with Pettis on it, you were right it was good.

Right on, that Jenks show is really good, he had some pretty heavy episodes, like one where he goes and lives on the street with a homeless person, pretty heavy shit.

I just searched my guide and found ION (Charter Cable) but the weird thing is the prelim is listed at 9pm, and im on the west coast! guess ill just set it to record and watch em later if the stream doesnt show them.

Going to go watch the weigh-ins on UFC.com to get me ready for the fights!

One good thing came out of my bro's crash, i finally talked him into getting/wearing a neck brace.

ION used to be Pax Network (Paxson Comm) showing primarily religious or "family oriented" television along with infomercials

When looking on your cable, look in your broadcast range, same as ABC, NBC, and others like local channels, typically it'll be something like WAPX or something with a "PX" in it, for Paxson

Don't go looking for it up on your cable band like it's Spike or VS

It'll be in the over air broadcast range

Not sure why you couldn't like the guy, he's the "American Boy" or of course being promoted that way. Heart got him in there Greg Jackson will give him the tools to stay in there.

Didn't see the fight my little guy is at All Childrens and they can't figure out what his belly pains are. Broke his arm Thursday getting ready for Winter Am's, not sure if they're related.

Anyway reading on MMA news it looks like Edgar got himself back in the fight after Maynard came out and rocked him good and may have broke his nose.

I think Frankie won some fans respect with the way he came back from that first round. He lacks a little power but has some crisp combinations and that slam was awesome.
