Is it faster to take the 10 to the 210 and then the 5 or the 10 to the 5?

10 - 210 - 5

Keeps you away from downtown L.A.

Why not take the 10 to the 15 then 395 across to the 5. Not exact directions but it would get you out of traffic for sure.

The problem there is, 395 is a two laner pretty much all the way, as are all the roads that will take you from there to the 5.

Get stuck behind a bunch of trucks and travel trailers, and you're screwed for miles.

It is the way I always go to Mammoth. I just hate the possibility of the 210 getting stuck up. I was up in LA the other day and had evening(5:00PM) traffic on the 405 south from WLA, so much fun.
