Does Any Kid Still Ride These?

I used to, but kids these days are spoiled rotten. My guess is these cutbacks won't hurt too bad. All you have to do is look at the lines of parents dropping their kids off in the morning.

i had a broken leg when i was 15..had to do a mile and half on crutches to the bus stop...and the bus drivers at the end of the day wouldn't even drop me off a little closer..no way,not once..

made me tough

Yep, at the risk of sounding old, i did have to walk about a mile each way to and from the bus stop every day. Wink

My wife is a teacher and she spends one day a week getting the kids off of those long yellow buses in the morning and making sure they get on the right bus after the day has ended.

Where did you grow up at, and by chance did you ride the short bus to school?

Neither one of my kids rode the bus because I always bought homes with in walking distance from their schools


Honestly though, kids do still ride the bus although I never wanted my kids to be in that situation.

My kids are lucky, all the schools they go to are less than a 1/4 mile away. My 17 year old son walks with his buddys. But my wife still drives my 13 year old daughter, even though it's just down the road, because we have over 30 registered sex offenders in our little town.Shit has went down just blocks away a few times, she gets picked up too.
