Have a chance to pick up a 89 KX250 that's kind of dirty (haven't seen it in person yet, will do so tomorrow) and has been sitting for the last ten years for $400.

How difficult is it to find parts to completely rebuild this bike? I see it's hard to find a full complete set of plastics anywhere so I'm guessing maybe other parts are going to be difficult as well?

I welcome your thoughts on this bike.

Looks like a great base for a rebuild!

Buy it! Parts are easy to get still, newer KXF plastics fit (front, rear fender and # plate) and those bikes still ride great!

Bought a 94 RM250 today for $950. This KX was total crap compared to this bike!

He saved $550 over what you spent, strictly because the previous owner didn't wash it.

The beauty of the old two strokes is that they are easy and cheap to get going.

That KX needs a good cleaning, a fresh air filter, a carb flush, and a few hours of wrenching to be as bitchin' as your RM.
