Taking bookbag to SX?

Haven't missed St. Louis SX in over 16 years but I've never attempted to take a bookbag into the stadium.....anyone know if I can do that? I'd like to take my SLR camera to practice / into the pits but don't want to have to carry it around my neck...would like to just stuff it into a book bag. I don't see any difference in a book bag rather than the size of some womens purses. Hopefully not an issue. Thanks for any input

Hey man I always take backpacks into the races. I do some industry work and usually enter directly through the pits but the worse they can do is have you open it and show them you aren't walking in with weapons. I would plan on having no issues taking a bag.

I went to a rams game at the dome earlier this year and my gf couldn't bring her purse in. I bet it is going to be the same. I'm not 100% sure though.

I think it varies from stadium to stadium. I know at dallas this year they said no bags, purses, backpacks, etc. I wasn't carrying one so I'm not sure how strict they were with enforcing it but I know there were signs saying you couldn't bring them in.

It looks like you can bring clear bags...I guess it's so they don't have to pay someone to dig through your purse, or murse. Bag policy

NFL games operate under a different security mandate ... that being said you should be able to go to the facility's website for the event restrictions....
... the NFL requires any carry in bag be see through.

We've never taken a bag/backpack, but a buddie's wife brought a backpack into ATL a couple years ago, snacks, drinks, and all. They checked it, but let her take it in. I thought for sure they would say "No outside food or drink."
