At Village Creek yesterday. 180 entries, 80degrees, classes for everyone but ran thru well, and didn't hear a Cobra 50 all day long. Enjoyable

Awesome day indeed! Raced the Over 45 and Over 50 Amateur classes--had a blast despite being way out of shape and not even starting the bike for two months. What classes did you run?

Awesome. My old man and I are planning on going to the next round at Swan. I was planning on going to the first round at Swan before it got rained out. Being able to finish one moto without arm pump will be a victory for me but I have my doubts. I'll be riding +25 and he'll be in +50.

B--I'll see you at Swan and make sure to say hi! I'm bringing out the new (to me) CRF450 for my first race on a big four-stroke, and it'll be my first race over the Swan track, so God help all of us old guys! I'll be #4 Honda.

Does the TX Vet series have anything to do with Mike Kidd's scramblecross?

I don't think so. Vet series is at regular tracks, just no minibikes and runs on Saturdays. Has classes for different skill levels from 25, 30, 35...up to 60+ . I think that scramble series is more about the track design

Looks like this weekend is going to get rained out once again. What a bummer! This weather making anyone else fatter? Moto tracks and mountain bike trails have been closed quite a bit in the last month around here!

*edit* I just checked the website and it is officially rained out.

Yes! My regular riding spot is under 3 feet of water now. MTB trials are closed too. Might have to actually go look into this whole "gym" thing everyone keeps talking about.

How many rounds are there? I'm moving back to TX next month and would like to get in on this action. Is there a 40 expert or one class fits all?

As Ben said, there's a total of six rounds, but only one has been run so far. Next race is June 20 at Underground MX in Kemp. There's an Expert money class for Over 40, and there's also money classes for Over 25, Over 30, and Over 35. Not sure if the Over 45 A pays (I think it does), but lots of classes within each age group, and the racing is greats fun. There's also B classes, C and D, although in the upper age groups the C/D is combined.
