I think that kid is doing a J-Law Deal......Just my Thoughts, go qualify maybee run a heat,throw down a fast lap, Then chill in the Trailor and collect a check......Who knows "Hey you can throw a top 5 qual time!!!" But not race Qualifing doesn't pay the bills....Main event finishes do!!!!!

Man, i could buy that 'opinion' if the dude wasn't still trying to work his way back from an injury. The young man knows he needs to be on the bike and healthy, getting results, cause he's racing for a contract next year. He wants the chance to shine in the Nats so expect to see him out there, if he's healthy.

A little of that was said directly to me, and some was via interviews vids. So, I'm not thinking for the guy Smile

Then again, there was all those races last year during the West Coast Lites Championship that he was qualifying for, then kicking it in the Makita Suzuki rig playing MX vs ATV Untamed, instead of racing in the night show... maybe there is a trend with Austin.

If he still has a lingering shoulder issue and he's doing as good as he is in qualifiers and such, he's going to kick some ass when he gets completely healed up.
The year he came out of amateurs, who else came with him? I'm just trying to remember who else moved up that year.

I saw Stroupe race at Glen Helen for the Golden State when he was an Intermediate, he raced 6 classes and won every single class, there were full gates, I thought back then this guy is gifted, he has been riddled with injuries since turning pro, wish he would heal up and come out and show what he's got for all to see.

I'm suprised some of you idiots don't make a thread bitching about Jimmy Button retiring after his accident. It's real easy to sit behind your keyboard and talk bad about a rider when you have no idea what their injuries are. Best part is the majority of you dorks don't even ride, let alone race, and have no idea the recovery process for an injury like that. But hey, give some privateer his bike and maybe he will make the night show and get 16th in a heat race and they will catch a Valli logo when Stewart is lapping them. That would be awesome.

Couldn't agree more. And as GuyB said its more then likely a lingering shoulder injury, that could take some time to heal let alone getting back into race shape.

Racing and practicing are two totally different things let alone being a pro and the level all of those guys ride at. Stroupe I am hoping, will come out and ride well when healthy.

And wouldn't it be your UNCLE as well, if its your brothers uncle?
