It seems to happen to every dominant rider that is on top for a while. It happen to Showtime in 95 and 96 and RC a couple years back. I'm guessing by the end of the season you'll hear the the drunken assholes out in full range. It's strange how some people react after an athlete does so well and than the crowd will just turn on them like night and day. It would be nice to see someone get a face full of roost if it happens again. Didn't somebody give the crowd a finger one time as they rode by?

So far this season the fans seem to be really good to both Ryan and James. I know what you mean, though. After a while, fans (can you really call them fans?) seem to adopt an "anyone but ____________" mentality. Actually, in the past I've seen some shirts like that for Steve Kinser, who was dominating in the World of Outlaws sprints.

That only eliminates the guy in the middle. HA! How was your trip out here. Get any fishing in?

I do remember RC getting booed. I missed the late 80s and 90s to about 98. Sons sport overwhelmed us.
