We'll have this discussion once he wins three titles on his own team. MC did a pretty damned good job.

Reed has some good people working with him.

MC had the full support of the manufacture when he was running his team. Relationships were a bit strained when Reed went his own way, and he wasn't getting much help from Honda in the beginning. I am sure things are getting now.

Chances aren't very good, but I would like to see Reed win this championship.

Different time, and a much different pool of talent out there today.

But MC had a better rider for his team.

I've never been a CR22 fan, but I think Chad is doing an awesome job! I think it was a big slap in the face to MC when Chad won last weekend. In an interview last November or December (I think on RacerX), Jeremy did nothing but talk Chad down for starting his own team. He basically very unprofessionally said 'his friend' wasn't going to succeed. Good job Chad, I hope you get more W's this year

Reed's win was great but lets put that horse back in front of the carriage. The dude won a mudder. On a dry track he has not been close to being in the game.

Reed is not close to MC on any level.

McGrath didn't win any titles on his own team. His last was in 2000, when his team was owned by Chaparral. His salaries and bonuses were paid by Yamaha.

Jeremy did get his last two wins on his own team, McGrath Racing, in 2001.

Worthless thread..

Chad has 1 win as owner, hardly an indicator of anything.

Thats what I thought too. He wasn't very successful while a team owner. Shouldn't take much for CR to get a couple more wins. Just seems MC was mistaken by talking shit before the season started.

Wasn't MC 'talking shit' by saying he knows how hard it is to operate your own team. I don't think it was shit talk; just a prediction.

So far I'm not that impressed with 22. Like Hughes said, he'll be there when everyone else makes a mistake; won't happen often.

i agree.

I'm a HUGE MC fan, however, i thought it was bullshit for him to throw reed under the bus about starting his own team.

MC is an The King of supercross, but to do that... this sport is so fucking petty.

Agreed. Just 7 races. A bit early.

Is James 'daddy' Stewart a better owner than CR22 and MC?
