Powder Coated Spokes

Edited Date/Time 5/13/2013 9:06am
Has anyone had any issues with spokes that are powder coated... breaking easier than normal? My rider broke 6 spokes casing a quad and he had a few random comments that heating up the aluminum weakens them somehow, so we should avoid colored spokes and stick with raw.

Any info?

We use the WC Torque wrench religiously and our wheels are DID Rims, Talon Hubs and black spokes.

Thanks.

Spokes are steel or stainless steel. Spoke nipples can be aluminum. The heat used for powder coating is not high enough to effect aluminum or steel.

Yes my bad lol.... So heat wouldn't affect the strength. Anyhow just wanted to see if anyone else has heard of this...
